Sucden appoints a new General Manager
Auke Vlas has expressed his wish to reduce his time of work and his involvement within the Group and no longer assume in 2019 the responsibilities of Member of the Management Board and General Manager.
Auke who recently relocated to Amsterdam will continue to supervise the coffee activities of Sucden and be in charge of some of the Group projects.
Thierry Songeur will be promoted General Manager of Sucden as from January 1st 2019. He will move to Paris and take over this responsibility from Auke Vlas who will leave the Management Board at the end of the year.
Thierry Songeur has run Sucden Americas, the US based Sugar Trading arm of Sucden since 1997 and is a member of Sucden Management Board since 2010.
The new Chief Executive Officer of Sucden Americas will be Ludovic Hervé currently Head of World Sugar Trading at Sucden Americas.’
