Where We Operate

Russia

Sucden is a well-established business in Russia. We are one of the country’s top four sugar producers and undertake activities embracing agriculture, processing and distribution. Our approach is intricately linked to marketplace dynamics in that our products are quality controlled from start to finish and distributed via our premium logistical service.

Total commitment

Sucden has invested massively in sustainable agriculture. We directly manage around 250,000 hectares of arable land and grow a mix of sugar beet, wheat, barley, sunflower, peas and corn. Between them, the farms grow more than 50 per cent of the beet supplied to our processing plants.

Linked to agricultural production, we also have highly efficient sugar plants. Following the acquisition of the Elets sugar plant in 2019, we now have an installed sugar production capacity of 800,000 metric tons while our production capacity of co-products is of around 240,000 metric tons for molasses and of 240,000 metric tons for pellets.

Each area of activity is managed to certified quality standards and we employ just-in-time logistics to meet our customers’ needs for quality products and reliable delivery.
