Sucden awarded Gold status for its sustainability performance by EcoVadis
Sucden is proud to be recognized amongst the top 5% of all companies assessed in its category by EcoVadis, a leading industry supplier of sustainability ratings for global supply chains.
As the drive for a sustainable global footprint increases, Sucden is wholly committed to creating long lasting solutions and fair business practices. In order to respond to the rising interest from its clients, Sucres et Denrées S.A. requested an external and independent assessment of its sustainability performance and supply chain management for the second year.
A top 5% rating for sustainability
We asked EcoVadis, the first collaborative platform providing Supplier Sustainability Ratings for global supply chains, to benchmark our performance. They independently rated Sucres et Denrées SA and granted a Gold status: the company ranks amongst the top 5% performers assessed in its category in 2019.
The questionnaire was especially focused on environment, fair business practices, labor practices and human rights, and sustainable procurement – all areas pertinent to our existing business.
While answering the questionnaire, data and process collection helped us confirm our approach towards sustainability. It also gave us insights for the future of our sustainability strategy.
Since 2007, EcoVadis has been helping more than 300 leading multinationals worldwide and 55,000 companies to reduce risk, drive innovation and foster transparency and trust between trading partners. It uses a unique CSR assessment methodology that covers 180 purchasing categories, 150 countries and 21 CSR indicators.
We are proud of this result and are willing to pursue our commitment towards sustainable growth. The results will help us to increase transparency for our customers and allow further continuous improvement within the business at large.
