Sucden extends its own operated fleet with a fourth vessel, the Zephyr venture

On July 4th, 2017, in Nantong PRC, in presence of Mr. Auke Vlas, General Manager, Sucden received its fourth handymax vessel built by Qingshan Shipyard Wuhan and named Zephyr Venture.

With a gross tonnage of 26,411 mt and a deadweight of 43,459 mt on a summer draft of 10.70 m, this vessel built in 2017 has an EEDI (Energy Efficient Design Index) rating of 4.179 gCO2/mt.nm which is 29.1% under the reference line and is compliant with IMO regulations until 2024; it has the latest ballast water treatment systems (Techcross), being one of the greenest bulk carrier designers ever to sail the oceans.

As the three other ships owned and operated by Sucden Armateurs, Boreas Venture, Eurus Venture and Notos Venture, the Zephyr Venture will be a key asset in Sucden’s ambition to provide clients with freight services adding real value to business opportunities.
