Sucden joins United Nations Global Compact Initiative

Sucden has become a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s leading voluntary corporate social responsibility initiative. The Global Compact connects more than 10,000 participating companies, from 166 countries.

In 2019, Sucden had set a clear focus to embrace responsibility as part of the culture, throughout the company, both through its internal initiatives and its external commitments. Which is why the Group including all its diversified activities has now joined the UN Global Compact, committing to uphold its principles in the areas of responsible human rights, labor practices, environment and anti-corruption.

“We are proud to be part of the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative”, says Serge Varsano, Chairman of the Sucden Group. “By committing to the UN Global Compact we are now aligning our strategies and operations with the ten principles of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We will continue to ensure sustainability is at the heart of our mission, connecting agricultural supply and demand, and creating long-lasting relationships with our partners”.
