Sucden achieves good sustainability rating from EcoVadis

As the drive for a sustainable global footprint increases, Sucden is proud to be wholly committed to creating long lasting solutions and fair business practices. In order to respond to the rising interest from its clients, Sucres et Denrées S.A. requested an external and independent assessment of its sustainability performance and supply chain management.
A top 30% rating for sustainability
We asked EcoVadis, the first collaborative platform providing Supplier Sustainability Ratings for global supply chains, to benchmark our performance. They independently rated and granted Sucres et Denrées SA a 59/100 score.
According to EcoVadis, that places the company among the top 30% of performers.
The questionnaire was especially focused on environment, fair business practices, labor practices and human rights, and sustainable procurement – all areas pertinent to our existing business.
While answering the questionnaire, data and process collection helped us confirm our approach towards sustainability. It also gave us insights for the future of our sustainability strategy.
Since 2007, EcoVadis has been helping more than 200 leading multinationals worldwide and 45,000 companies to reduce risk, drive innovation and foster transparency and trust between trading partners. It uses a unique CSR assessment methodology that covers 180 purchasing categories, 150 countries and 21 CSR indicators.
We are proud of this result, and are willing to pursue our commitment towards sustainable growth. The results will help us to increase transparency for our customers and allow further continuous improvement within the business at large.
