Sucden launches its first Corporate Responsibility Report

Sucden today launched its first Corporate Responsibility Report. The report outlines the company’s progress in 2018 made towards its mission: to be a global leader in connecting agricultural supply and demand in a sustainable way.

‘At Sucden, we create long lasting relationships with our partners by giving them confidence in our operations and capabilities to act responsibly and in accordance with laws and best practices’, said Thierry Songeur, General Manager, Sucden group.

The report highlights the group’s performance across four principles: business practices, people, respect for the environment and community involvement.

Sucden is committed to reducing its environmental impact and the report focuses on the efforts in minimizing its energy consumption and carbon footprint, waste generation and water consumption, mainly in the industrial and agricultural business activities in Russia.

Sucden’s Corporate Responsibility Report also highlights the sustainable cocoa and coffee programs developed in supply chain activities and certification, in collaboration with clients, and the Group’s direct support to cocoa and coffee farmers by contributing to local community development.
