Beet Pulp Pellets and Molasses
Our relationships with key sugar producers in Europe and Africa among others, combined with being one of the major sugar producers in Russia, make Sucden one of the most reliable suppliers of Sugar Beet Pulp Pellets and Molasses in the world.
World Supply
Sugar Beet Pulp Pellets (SBPP) are the pelletized beet residue remaining after the extraction of the juice from sugar production. During the sugar extraction, the beet pulp which contains high amount of water is pressed to extract residual sugar and water, and then dehydrated and pelletized for better preservation. The final product, SBPP, which contains a significant level of fiber, has a longer shelf life and is easier to transport and store. It is commonly used as a feed component for animal feed, in particular feed for ruminants.
Molasses is another by-product of the sugar cane and sugar beet industries. The residual liquid that is left during the production process to extract sugar from the beet or cane, is an excellent source of energy and resources for the animal feed industry and is a sugar substrate for the yeast, fermentation and alcohol industries.
